Its May - Can l still Ski in Europe?
« on: May 09, 2012, 09:08:06 am »
Here we are in sunny May - or rainy depending on where you are in the country!! Fancy getting away from it all for some late skiing? Want to know where that elusive snow can be found? Let me help!!

There's still plenty of skiing available in Austria with the Dachstein Glacier having a whopping 550cm of snow on it which should set it up for a great summer ahead.

Of the Italian resorts, both Cervinia and Presena are open for snowsports this week, and the Swiss resort of Zermatt which is linked to Cervinia is also open. This linked ski area is forecast a lot of new snow over the next week or so. Zermatt was to receive almost a metre of new snow yesterday!!

And don't forget that even if there's no snow in the UK its always a great time to get in some practice at the Sno!Zone or other dry ski slopes before hitting those pistes later in the year!!

Don't forget to check out www.skiwear4less.com for some great bargains on ski jackets, salopettes, gloves, goggles, helmets and of course - ski's and boots!!
