Jacqui Cooper has collected her third straight aerial skiing victory for the season with a dominant performance at the Lake Placid World Cup in New York state. Cooper landed her two triple somersaults to earn 213.95 points from the judges, a massive 15.74 points clear of her nearest challenger, Xinxin Guo of China. "I was really happy with my second jump." Cooper said. "That's the highest score I've ever got for my lay-full-full (double twisting triple somersault). That one has been really worrying me, but today in training I landed eight out of the nine jumps so I knew I could land it, I just didn't know how it would be in the air. It's been really windy here, so today was only my second day doing triples, plus the landing hill was very dark and we hadn't had any night training, so I'm very happy with my jumping for a lot of reasons." The victory was the 22nd of Cooper's career, and her sixth win from the last seven events she has contested. She leads the World Cup title chase on 300 points, 124 ahead of Guo, with Lassila a single point further back. The next World Cup will be held in Mont Gabriel, Canada, on January 27
